ACTIVITIES

Convinced today of the transformative power of art, at Ballet Contemporani we design formulas and ideas to encourage citizen participation and all those who aspire to be professional artists.

Promoting a critical spirit, generating concerns, motivating, learning about everything that art can provide us to grow in modern values and improve our well-being and health are among the main objectives we pursue with these workshops and activities.

SCHOOL SHOWS

We are present in educational circuits and audience creation on an ongoing basis with the aim of making art and culture an essential part of our lives.

We collaborate and open ourselves to new ideas and proposals, offering our project as a tool for education, and improvement of well-being, integration and health.

WORKSHOPS

We offer a wide range of proposals aimed at raising awareness and understanding of the BCC project and productions: choreographic workshops, masterclasses, workshops, open rehearsals, debates or talks, among others.

We prepare pedagogical dossiers suitable for each production where we propose various activities that allow citizens to obtain personal tools and resources aimed at enjoying, interpreting, understanding and forming their own opinion and criteria towards our shows.

MASTER CLASSES

We offer master classes during our stay at the theaters aimed at dance students, taught by the dancers or artistic director.

Classes are adapted to different ages and levels, both amateurs and pre-professionals. We are available to dance schools that want to offer an activity that complements and enriches the training of their students.

OPEN REHEARSALS

We open our creations to the public in the spaces where we carry out artistic and technical residencies.

We show the work behind each production to closed groups or to the entire citizenry.

We offer an open rehearsal before each premiere and in all those theaters where we perform our shows.

POST-FUNCTION SESSION

We share and bring our projects closer together with the aim of awakening the critical spirit and inviting the audience to participate openly.

We collaborate with other projects, institutions and educational centers that believe in art as one of the most effective ways of personal and emotional growth.

YOUNG CULTURAL JOURNALISTS

(…) Moreover, to give priority to the dance, since it is the main driving force of the show, the rhythm is repetitive, not melodic, thus causing the audience to focus not on the music but on the dance. In other words, the music does not hijack the dance, it provides the necessary support to make it shine more. Accompanying it in moments where, for example, anxiety predominates as an emotion, the music is more percussive and aggressive. (…)
